Thomas Kontinos served 27 years in law enforcement and has over 10 years of private investigations experience. During this period, he was a Deputy Sheriff for the Lee County Sheriff’s Office achieving a number of promotions, one of which was being assigned to a newly created Major Crimes Unit. It was during this assignment that he was assigned to a Federal Task Force to investigate the murder of a DEA informant and the first bombing of a DEA office in the U.S., and was later dramatized in the television show The FBI Files -Deadly Threat. He later joined the State Attorney’s Office as the Special Investigator Assistant to the State Attorney. After retiring from law enforcement, he joined a Fort Myers law firm investigating medical malpractice cases, product liability cases and wrongful death cases. Mr. Kontinos and his wife, Chandra Spary-Kontinos own and operate eGuarded, LLC, specializing in background investigations and security consultation. He is passionate about providing both individuals and businesses with his resources and knowledge when it comes to being prepared and staying protected. Thomas is a Florida licensed private investigator and holds a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Management (Summa Cum Laude) from Hodges University.
